Architecture of the WaterWise Intelligent System
The platform consists of the following subsystems:

WaterWise Innovation Points
The innovation of the WaterWise project lies in the development of an integrated reference platform with multi-level intelligent functionality, tailored to comprehensively address water balance forecasting in reference communities/areas. The platform will incorporate predictive models for water resource inflows and outflows, utilize big data analytics and artificial intelligence to optimize water resources management, and provide real-time information to competent authorities and stakeholders. Integrated Water Resources Management, which accounts for the holistic nature of hydrological systems, is essential for achieving sustainable outcomes and harmoniously balancing competing demands.
- Innovation #1: Development of a reference architecture for the implementation of prototype, integrated technological water balance forecasting systems.
- Innovation #2: Water balance modeling using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (ML) models.
- Innovation #3: Support for real-time data collection through automated IoT systems.
- Innovation #4: Formulation of a methodology for developing prototype water balance communities within the framework of exploiting the project’s results.
Expected Results
The expected outcomes of the project include:
- Development of an innovative methodology for rational water resources management.
